Decisions, Decisions....

It's official, me and my partner have decided to try for our own child. It will be our first baby and we are both extremely excited!! (However it wasn't a decision we made lightly) 

We took everything into consideration and wrote our own pros and cons list. on this list were things like;

The financial pressure a baby will bring
Lack of sleep
Dealing with the stress of a new baby

There were also issues such as our age (we are in our early twenties) and how a baby would affect our work life. (could I go back to work full-time or part-time? who would look after our child? would we need childcare?) Also I personally thought about how our friends/family would react to us telling them. (My partner doesn't worry about this kind of thing like I do).

After taking all these things into consideration we decided that we could bring a child into this world and live comfortably. We have the spare finances and room in our house for an extra addition. 

We are currently in our first month of trying to conceive and if i'm honest I found the whole thing quite daunting to begin with. Things such as finding out ovulation dates, luteal phases as well as recording body temperatures, for me personally made the whole experience feel like a military operation. (Don't get me wrong, I know that these things are needed for some people it just isn't for me quite yet). So this month we just 'did the deed' as we would normally and we are just waiting to see how it works out for us. Aunt flow is due soon so I suppose i'm just going to see if she makes an appearance and go from there.
